Making final preps...

After consulting with our "pastor" Monica, we are beginning to make final preparations for the wedding! Also been checking out bed and breakfast facilities in Taos, Amarillo, and Oklahoma City -- found some really nice ones but wow are they high-priced! Can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel...

Last semester

Well, I gave my resignation at the University -- it was well received although I think it will be sad to leave on both sides. The faculty was very supportive of our decision to live in Jefferson City. I have been extremely lucky to work with such good people at the University. Now, we just have to get through this semester! Wishing it was May now!

Night before...

It's the night before I leave tomorrow to go back to Cape -- school starts on Tuesday. I can't believe a month has already passed -- it has gone so fast. I hate to have to leave again and not be able to see Chad and Ruby until the weekends. At least this time, it will be the last time -- in less than 4 months, I will be moving here then a month later, we will be getting married. Needless to say, I'm ready to get this semester over.

Christmas break coming to an end

Well, my Christmas break from school is quickly coming to an end and I am not ready to leave Chad and Ruby to go back to Cape. I have one semester left then I have to teach a class in the summer presession before we leave for the wedding. I am counting the days until May 13...I am just so ready to be at my future home for good and to also know what the future holds for me job-wise. I have several places I want to send my resume and I will be doing that next month. I am really hoping to have a job in place when I move up in May...even though I won't be able to start until July 5. I know that everything happens for a reason and that all of this will make Chad and I stronger...but I just wish things could start now instead of being put on hold yet again. Oh well...that's life I guess. I'm just very thankful for all of the wonderful things that I do have in my life.

First BIG snow!

We had our first big snow in Jeff City yesterday -- about 5.5 inches! Ruby loves the snow -- she buries her entire face in it and she really likes it when Chad is shoveling and he throws the snow on her. Ruby is getting so big -- we weighed her the other night and she weighed 18 lbs -- she's not a baby anymore. I have a few more days of vacation - school doesn't start back until January 19. And I am so glad -- it is going to be so hard to leave -- I can't even describe my dread. Five months until the wedding -- I can't believe it is almost here! Posting some pictures of Ruby in the snow and with Chad.
