Well, I ran in my first 5K in 3 years and I had trained for it for about 2 months. My goal for myself was to run the entire thing regardless of where I placed, but because of a large, steep hill -- I didn't accomplish my goal. I ended up having to walk up the hill -- I had kept a nice, steady pace for 2 miles and then the LARGE hill came up and I had to walk (not to mention having to use my inhaler -- yuck). I am running another race on May 1 so now I have a goal to beat and I WILL do it.
Later this afternoon, Chad and I bought 2 adirondack chairs and a wrought iron table/chair set for the back porch. It looks so nice!

That is awesome Nikki! I started running and I want to run a 5k maybe we could do that together some time. I struggle with Shin splints soo bad but I am hoping ice and ibuprofen will help. Great job.............where is the May 1st race?

Hey Stac! I really enjoy the running too -- good way to get the stress out. We should do a 5K sometime. The one May 1st is in California, MO -- just a little ways from Jeff City. The girl who is having it is donating all the money to Breast Cancer Research -- she's calling it Bras for the Cause.
